WATCH: 14th Annual Alternative Mining Indaba

Oxfam South Africa and its partners attended the 14th annual Alternative Mining Indaba in Cape Town from the 7th – 9th of February 2023.

The AMI was held under the theme, “A just energy transition: Unlocking Community Potential and Participation.”

Also taking part at the conference will be SADC member states Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as Oxfam representatives from Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, and Uganda. Joining us to discuss this issue further.

Oxfam South Africa’s head of programs Nkateko Chauke joined several media houses to unpack Oxfam’s participation and support at the Alternative Mining Indaba.
